"Euphoria," is an HBO teen drama, and one of the few TV shows that have influenced fashion trends with its over-the-top looks, and nostalgic pieces, with the series' first season influencing fashion trends with its mesmerizing looks, that made fashion lovers recreate and buy slow fashion.
Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, and others star as high school students who must navigate love, friendship, drugs, and their own identities. The show's second season continues to deliver the eye-catching fashion moments that fans have come to love from the show but takes it a step further by including high-fashion brands. One of the ways that viewers may have been able to relate with each character is through costume designer Heidi Bivens' chosen outfits.
“It’s all about having fun with it and not overthinking it and just having free reign of expression, more than the first season, which was still really establishing who these characters are,” said costume designer Heidi Bivens
Bivens maintained her approach of curating the show's costumes with a mix of vintage pieces with a nostalgic feel and more modern pieces from contemporary designers for season two of "Euphoria." She said she gets her ideas from ordinary individuals she sees on the street or on Instagram, and she got a lot of the outfits from local retailers in Los Angeles.
Because of this, the outfits in 'Euphoria' mostly consist of vintage items, as well as clothing from independent designers and slow fashion brands. This is critical because the show influences many people's fashion choices, thus encouraging others to shop slowly makes the show even better. We'll look at several outfits from the last two episodes of 'Euphoria,' as well as their designers, in this blog post.
01 Maddy Perez
In Episode 1 during the New Year's Eve party Maddy wears an AKNA dress and matching gloves, created by a Mexican living in Los Angeles, Aidan Juan. All pieces are handmade by him and made to order, therefore no waste is produced and the pieces can serve the customer for a very long time.
Amina Muaddi, the designer behind her eponymous label, is a Paris-based Italian-raised designer. AMINA MUADDI + AWGE LSD embellished satin sandals are worn by Maddy. This design frames the legs with crystal-adorned lace-up straps and is produced in Italy using the best quality materials, capturing the distinct styles of both collaborators.

Cassie Howard (Sydney Sweetney) is dressed in a sky blue ruched bodycon piece by House of CB, which costs around £120. Everything is handcrafted in their London design studio. He seeks to tear down social and societal structures and recreate them in queer, alternative, and socially uplifting ways, using iconic symbols as a tool for subversion.
The outfit is paired with an Orseund Iris Gamine Skirt in off-white ($825.00) Social-savvy designer Lana Johnson built the brand from scratch out of Brooklyn, New York. She also wears a bodysuit by Maroskee Peech geotard in lilac (sold out).
