Last year's Halloween celebrations were obliged to take on a new structure. The celebs' imagination was not limited by the lack of IRL parties. However, we're confident that 2021 will have plenty of fantastic celebrity costumes. We're still in the midst of a pandemic, but as more people get vaccinated, we'll be able to enjoy the Halloween season more normally.

Halloween is the one time of year when it's acceptable to reveal that wild alter-ego that's typically kept hidden. It's more than just a time to dress up; it's a time to go all out, and for many, that means a complete makeover from head to toe. Every year, celebs go all out with their costumes and never disappoint. We've seen celebrities dress up as whole different characters for Halloween, but the most remarkable aspect of any celebrity costume is the elaborate beauty look that goes along with it. When Halloween rolls around, our Instagram feeds are flooded with photos of celebrities sporting some of the most inventive hair and makeup looks we've ever seen.

Kendall Jenner is without any doubt, our most favourite celebrity regarding Halloween costumes every year, because she never fails to impress. She celebrated Halloween as a fem-bot from the Austin Powers films while attending the Casamigos Halloween Party in 2018. She wore a custom Gilda & Pearl Diana Marabou-Detailed Silk Babydoll, lace panties from Samsøe & Samsøe, ZaZa Bridal Satin Gloves and Manolo Blahnik Lima Slide Sandals.

02 Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande has by far the most realistic costume; in 2019, she wore a pig nose costume that was inspired by an episode of "The Twilight Zone" from the 1960s called "Eye of the Beholder." Her glam team spent five hours applying prosthetics and prepping this look, she said on Twitter. It is set in a world where conventional beauty standards have been flipped.

03 Vanessa Hudgens

Vanessa Hudgens is known for her spectacular Halloween costumes. In 2020, the actress dressed as the Black Widow for one of her costumes. Ivan Núñez applied Hudgens' vampy glam, which included all MAC Cosmetics products. He used the brand's Diva Lipstick and Low-Cut LipGlass to create her dark red lip. Tony Medina styled her flawlessly sculpted coiffure.

04 Zoë Isabella Kravitz

In 2018, Zoë Kravitz got creative with her costume, dressing up as an awakened vampire and attended the Casamigos Halloween party. The appearance was achieved with a robe, pajamas, a towel wrap, and other comfy elements covered with artificial blood by the famous actress. She finished off her costume with a pair of shin-length Seinfeld logo socks and a stylish pair of Gucci Princetown fur-lined sandals. She brought a stack of newspapers and a happy smiling face mug, as well as a pair of crystal-encrusted cat-eye sunglasses.

When the Hadid sisters stepped out in 2019 in their costumes, they amazed the crowd. They are not only stunning on the runway, but they also never fail to impress off of it. Kendall Jenner's Halloween birthday party was attended by Bella Hadid on Thursday night. She decided to dress up as Catwoman, a character from the Batman Returns film. Her costume consisted of a black latex catsuit, black matching gloves, and a white stitched face mask. Venus Prototype, a latex costume. Her look was completed with a pair of Nodaleto knee-high platform boots and a vintage Chanel shoulder purse. 

Gigi Hadid wore a head-turning costume from the 1994 film The Mask to Kendall Jenner's Halloween party in New York City. The model, however, did not arrive dressed as Cameron Diaz's slinky, dress-wearing beauty from the film, but rather as "The Mask," a green-faced, bizarre jokester: Hadid wore a wide-brimmed hat with a feather and the character's distinctive brilliant yellow suit, a white button-up, a polka dot tie with a matching pocket square, and a polka dot tie with a matching pocket square. Patrick Ta, the supermodel's makeup artist, did an amazing job recreating Jim Carrey's famous role, and she nailed it.

06 Rihanna

Rihanna, in addition to operating her business empire, didn't disappoint during the spooky season in 2018, when she embraced the iconic character's attire of a jet-black, second-skin PVC bustier and hot pants, along with slinky evening gloves and plastic feline glasses. Rihanna, in classic Rihanna manner, gave the traditional skeleton costume a new spin. She wore fluorescent pink face paint and a maroon lip instead of the typical black and white makeup.

07 Halsey

Halsey impressed the crowd with a seductive interpretation on the DC Comics villain, revealing a lot of skin in a revealing green bra and matching bikini bottom. The outfit was made of a gleaming, textured cloth that gave the impression that she was wearing leaves. The two-piece made little attempt to hide her chiseled figure, which Halsey described as "tour shredded" in the caption.

08 Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas astonished the crowd with their Gomez and Morticia Addams outfits, nailing the pairs game with her spouse. She ditched her signature blonde locks in favor of a jet-black wig. Sharp cheekbones, a bleeding red lip, and an extremely pale face encapsulated Morticia Addams wonderfully for her dramatic makeup. Joe's pinstripe suit and pencil mustache truly sealed the deal. There was also a fake hand on his shoulder. Their outfits were just stunning.

For a Halloween party she held for V Magazine with Chanel, Lily-Rose Depp went for a high-fashion look. The model and actress wore an outfit that resembled that of an old-school circus ringmaster. Wearing tiny sequined hot pants, black tights, and thigh-high boots, she put on a performance. In a red jacket and waistcoat, she flaunted her figure while wearing a chained Chanel belt and leather gloves. Her costume was completed by a red riding crop. Lily-Rose finished off her look with romantic waves in her hair and smokey makeup.

In her Halloween costume, Kim Kardashian channeled her inner Madonna, while her sister Kourtney dressed up as Michael Jackson to recreate the King and Queen of Pop's iconic looks from the 1991 Academy Awards. In a glittering white gown and fur shawl, the reality star appeared practically unrecognizable, with platinum blonde hair and a crimson lip to mimic the singer. To pay homage to the late Michael Jackson, Kourtney wore her hair in tight curls and wore black gloves and a white blazer. This year, forget about couples costumes; we're all about sister costumes.

Kendall completed her fantasy costume with gold antlers and prosthetic elf ears, as well as a gorgeous feather-like golden gown.
